Ted Springer, Dealer Principal and President and two employees founded Springer Equipment Company, Inc. in February 1992. Ted Springer’s experience in the forklift industry dated back to 1976, including sales and the General Manager of a local forklift dealership. Opened as a niche business, the company began with used forklift truck sales, service, parts, rental, and leasing. In a short time, as employees were added and facilities rented then purchased, the company grew to over 200 used unit sales per year with the service and parts departments also enjoying remarkable growth.

Springer’s growth in sales, leasing, used and new parts, service, and rentals has not been by accident. Over the years, exceptionally qualified employees with years of lift truck sales, service and parts experience have been hired. Each has fully agreed with the company’s Mission Statement, which reads in part “. . . we strive with diligence to improve our performance continuously through the products and services we offer so that our customers will receive an honest value . . . “

Nor has Springer’s remarkable growth been unnoticed. In 1997 the President of the Linde Lift Truck Corporation – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of material handling equipment – asked Springer to become a dealer for Linde. Today, Springer is one of the top two Linde dealers nationwide and, with the addition of the Komatsu and Hyundai line of forklifts is able to offer material handling handling equipment for any application. Springer is also a dealer for the remarkable CombiLift four-way lift truck, EP Material Handling Equipment and is an authorized service center for the Moffett Mounty, the world’s leading piggyback lift truck.

Our current database of over 1,900 active customers includes customers with one lift truck to Fortune 500 companies with hundreds of trucks and nationwide locations. Each looks to us for new and used lift trucks of every description, rentals, new and used parts, qualified service and wide-ranging financial merchandising programs assuring an acceptable return on investment. Additionally, we provide inspection and appraisal services for national banks and consult with fleet operators regarding their material handling requirements.
